SCENTS OF ART: Group Exhibition

Taiwan Prefecture Confucian Examination Hall 6 - 28 December 2025
Taiwan Prefecture Confucian Examination Hall 10am - 6pm (Closed on Wednesdays)

A Scent Museum in a Century-Old Heritage Building An Immersive Encounter of Art × Fragrance

Co-curated by YIRI LIVING and YIRI ARTS, this exhibition takes the idea of a “Scent Museum” as its curatorial core, bringing together 14 artists from Taiwan and Japan, including Yuichi Hirako, Chen Sung-Chih, and Chen Sheng-Wen. The works span three-dimensional installations, large-scale sculptures, and paintings. In collaboration with Taiwanese artist Chen Yun, the show also presents a special project that pairs a four-part painting series with four dreamscape fragrances. Drawing on the concept of “bedtime reading” as a way of reading through scent, a specially designed scent-experience installation invites visitors to step into the olfactory landscapes within the paintings.

Echoing the tea-street culture that flourished around The Taiwan Prefectural Examination Hall in the 1990s, the exhibition also features a limited-time pop-up by Taiwanese tea-based skincare brand TEAORY. Showcasing 80 classic tea-scented selections—from the gentle, beautifying qualities of floral teas, to the moisturizing clarity of black and green teas, and the resilient vitality of herbal teas—the large circular display presents facial care, tea-extract bath and body products, essential oil blends, and signature tea fragrances. Visitors are invited to rest body and mind in the fragrant energy of Taiwanese tea and local botanicals.
