Grip Face (David Oliver, b. 1989, Palma, Spain) works across painting, sculpture, and installation, articulating a visual syntax that shifts between digital interfaces and tactile, studio-made precision. His compositions operate through layered edits—flat fills, pixel-like marks, and meticulously rendered passages—evoking the speed of screen culture while insisting on the slower intelligence of the hand. Recurring motifs such as masking, mirroring, hair, and costume function as both shield and signal: devices through which identity, intimacy, and exposure are negotiated in a world shaped by technological massification and mediated relations.
Recent solo presentations include YIRI ARTS, Taipei (2025), Fundació Miró Mallorca, Palma (2025), Parco Museum, Tokyo (2025), La Bibi Gallery, Palma de Mallorca (2024), Gana Gallery, Seoul (2024), La Bibi Gallery × Colección SOLO, Paris (2023), Cerquone Gallery, Madrid (2020), and SC Gallery, Bilbao (2021; 2016).
