Ong Hong-Chuan was born in Singapore in 1977. He graduated from the Graduate Institute of Applied Arts at Tainan National University of the Arts in 2019 and is currently living and working in Tainan, Taiwan. Ong Hong-Chuan specializes in using ceramics as a medium, drawing from ancient relics and mythology, to create a ritualistic form of sculpture. His goal is to explore the relationship between historical events and present-day society, transforming the current state into a new myth. Perhaps this novel mythology can be a mirror that reflects our present society.
