Naufal Abshar Indonesian, b. 1993

Naufal Abshar was born in 1993 in Bandung, Indonesia. He is considered one of Indonesia's top collected young artists, with works placed in many important blue-chip collections. His practice spans visual arts and creative collaborations, including designing the award-winning album art for Kunto Aji's Mantra - Mantra, which won Best Graphic Design at the AMI Awards in 2019, as well as designing the cover art for Eric Nam's album House on a Hill. Naufal has also collaborated on creative projects with Treasury and Erigo for Times Square in New York.

 

His recognitions and honors include the Best Graphic Design Award at Anugerah Musik Indonesia (2019). He has held several solo exhibitions, including Meanwhile (2026) at YIRI ARTS in Taipei, Flash, Pow, Bham! (2022) at CAN'S Gallery in Jakarta, Voyage (2022) at Rich Art Gallery in Taipei, and I Am Me (2019) at Art Porters Gallery in Singapore. His work has also been featured in group exhibitions and international art fairs, such as the Indonesia Pavilion at World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Art Jakarta 2024 at Art Jakarta in Jakarta, Art Taipei 2021 with Rich Art Gallery in Taipei, I Bet U Love My Garden (2019) at Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Spring Meetings (2018) at the IMF-World Bank in Washington, D.C., and Art Stage Singapore (2018) at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
