Hel10², the inaugural exhibition of YIRI ARTS JAKARTA, marks the gallery's first official presence in Jakarta, Indonesia. We begin with a universally understood greeting - "Hello" - a simple yet powerful word that signifies both welcome and declaration: we are here. The "10²" in the title refers to the 20 artists in this show - 10 from Taiwan and 10 from various countries around the world - all of whom are key representatives of our gallery's vision. The use of multiplication (10×10) rather than addition (10+10) reflects our belief that artistic dialogue does not merely stack meanings, but exponentially amplifies them.
This exhibition is not just about presenting works in a new location; it is an invitation - an invitation to local audiences to enter a cultural space shaped by artistic thought. Here, "Hello" is more than a verbal greeting; it is the starting point of an artistic voice.
