Wang Guan-Jhen in ‘Gathering / Ground / Gesture’ at Srisasanti Gallery: Group Exhibition

Taiwanese artist Wang Guan-Jhen is participating in Gathering / Ground / Gesture, a group exhibition presented by Srisasanti Gallery in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Bringing together 14 artists from Indonesia, Taiwan, the Philippines, and the United States, the exhibition takes the historical phrase “Gold, Gospel, Glory” as its point of departure to reconsider movement across distance, encounter, and cultural exchange. Through the three interconnected concepts of Gathering, Ground, and Gesture, the exhibition shifts attention from the pursuit of wealth, belief, and prestige toward contemporary questions of coexistence, shared contexts, and the subtle traces that emerge through exchange.

On view from June 21 to August 23, 2026, the exhibition coincides with Art Jog 2026, one of Indonesia’s leading annual contemporary art events.
