Li Shih-Wen was born in 1990 in Taoyuan, Taiwan, and a graduate of the Department of Fine Arts at Tainan National University of the Arts, currently resides and works in Kaohsiung. Li Shih-Wen's artworks often utilize media such as charcoal pencils that evoke a sense of powder. Through extensive gel processing, the delicate sound of powdered media is preserved, giving the paintings a visual effect of moisture, flow, and sedimentation. The uncertainty created by the continuous stacking of powder is used to interpret everyday scenes, making the space appear as if it has been vacuum-sealed, creating a world that has been reduced in volume and depth. The inherent nature of the materials resonates with the scenes, which seem to only exist as a few fragments in our memories, but this time, it is not just a fleeting glance; it becomes eternal in this moment.
