For the 2022 edition of Art Taipei, YIRI ARTS is delighted to present a group exhibition, "Post_Paradise". This is a focused selection featuring the characteristics of two dynamic fields - an amusement park and a garden - interpreting the most definite appearance of contemporary society and exploring our rapidly changing relationships with one another and the world around us.
In the amusement park, people unreasonably put themselves in seemingly dangerous situations in exchange for the experience of highly amplified sensory stimulation. This kind of human instinct demonstrates our desire to break through the frame. At Post Paradise, we seek to find the most exciting artists globally, using the mighty penetrating power of creation as a medium to stimulate the audience's attention. Whether beautiful and magical, ugly and quirky, calm and silent, or even noisy and vulgar, all visual experiences can allow people to escape their daily track. What we are seeking are those mysterious qualities, strong enough to shake the invisible norms of everyday life.
