"(assemblage) dust, salt, and dirt" presents Chen Sheng-Wen's body of work from 2015 to 2023, exploring the relationship between humans and the environment through various artistic practices such as weaving, embroidery, sculpture, and on-site installation. The book also includes documentary images of collected waste, travel journals, essays, and sketches.

The book cover features hand-crafted collages using adhesive tapes, as well as the insertion of hand-pasted paper tapes throughout the book, creating a dialogue between different materials. The book's spine extends from the bottom, simulating the swaying posture of organisms.
