Chen Sung-Chih: Index: Solo Exhibition

YIRI ARTS Jakarta is pleased to present Index, Taiwanese artist Chen Sung-Chih's first solo exhibition in Jakarta, on view from August 15 to September 20, 2026. An opening reception will be held on August 15 at 4 PM. Bringing together a new body of installation and mixed-media works, the exhibition continues the artist's ongoing inquiry into the relationships between material, time and space.

Through sustained and subtle interventions into everyday materials, Chen transforms material into a site where events become sedimented, constructing a material field in continuous transformation. Within this field, the boundaries between object and event, surface and depth remain fluid, keeping perception open rather than fixed.
