YIRI ARTS Jakarta's second exhibition, Trailer, brings together seven distinguished artists from Taiwan and Japan, each of whom has played a significant role in shaping the gallery's long-term program. Encompassing painting, sculpture, and installation, the exhibition presents a wide spectrum of practices that investigate themes of identity, memory, ecology, and the socio-political fabric of contemporary life.
Rather than being framed within a singular regional context, these artists reflect a diverse range of cultural experiences from across Asia. Their works intersect in a shared space of visual and conceptual dialogue-one that gestures toward the growing entanglement of Asian contemporary art practices. Trailer also inaugurates a curatorial initiative that will culminate in a series of duo exhibitions pairing these artists with Indonesian counterparts, fostering meaningful cultural exchange between Taiwan, Indonesia, and the broader Southeast Asian region.
By positioning Jakarta as a vital nexus for cross-cultural engagement, YIRI ARTS remains committed to advancing inter-Asian artistic discourse and cultivating an evolving platform for intellectual and aesthetic exchange within the region.
