Works by Shih Yung Chun Acquired by ARARIO MUSEUM DongMun MOTEL I: Public & Private Collections

Works by SHIH Yung Chun from 《The Night In The Hotel Hallway》 and 《Hotel Hallway Toy Set》 series including paintings, installations, and video works, have been acquired into the collection of ARARIO MUSEUM DongMun MOTEL I, and are currently on view as part of the museum's permanent collection display.

 

SHIH Yung Chun (b. 1978, Taiwan) draws on the social landscapes of 1980s Taiwan, incorporating toys and vintage packaging to create narratives where mass-produced imagery intersects with personal memory. His work reflects the collision between fiction and reality, as well as the intersection of collective memory and private emotion in contemporary life.
