Lin Yi-Pei was born in Taiwan in 1991. She graduated from the Taipei National University of the Arts with a MFA in Fine Arts in 2017. In Lin Yi-Pei's paintings, decaying objects within vanishing spaces or natural objects tending to wither often appear via her vocabulary of painting. They form a decadent and blurred yet exquisitely beautified image.
Her most important solo shows include Blow over the Day, YIRI ARTS, Taipei (2019), The Final Mild Blue, YIRI ARTS, Taipei (2017), Sorry to Leave, YIRI ARTS, Taichung (2015), and Near the Green, YIRI ARTS, Taipei (2014). Selected group shows include Lifestyle Guru Haunted by Anxiety, Underground Museum, Taipei (2015), Explicit & Cryptic: The OO Age, Changhua County Art Museum, Changhua (2015), and Unfinished, National Chiayi University, Chiayi (2013).
