「……,當人拼命想要完成生命或自然的存在性實體表達的時候,最後我們所完成的,並不是實體,而是表達的方法性的形式本身,亦即表達的窮盡方式。……」—《尋找山中的塞尚》

第一張數位照片,透過編碼再現了嬰兒的容顏。它以序列的編碼秩序、還原人們所見的影像,也同時精準地切割時間與光線。由數字所組成的像素,解構了事物與事物之間的界線,沒有透視、沒有遠近景深,每一個都是朝向自身的消失點。 我沿著面板屏幕的影像技術解構像素,嘗試匯集、反向地擴延序列概念,將它視為一種確切的自然,並再次描寫。


About 謝佑承 Hsieh Yu-Cheng

謝佑承 1992年生於台灣宜蘭,現居與工作於台灣台北。由光所構成影像與空間中的辯證關係,揭示著機器影像與觀者視角的邏輯順序:實體與虛擬、數位與類比、錯置與對位、在場與缺席,是其創作以現場製作、影像、物質材料等不同形式與媒材,發展以光為存在辯證的系列作品。近期創作多以螢光漆模擬色彩、科技物件等成像方法,實驗影像概念的最基礎條件,於此試圖回溯視覺發生的初始與現實鬆動的可能。作品和展覽曾獲「當代藝術賞」、「台南新藝獎」、「全國美術展」、「世安美學獎」等獎項,及歐洲藝術學院聯盟「NEU NOW藝術季」與台新藝術獎季提名。戶外光裝置見於《月津港燈節》、《關渡光藝術節》、空總《交幻場:2020戶外裝置藝術計畫》、《寶藏巖光節》等項目。

Born in Yilan, Taiwan, in 1992, Hsieh Yu-Cheng lives and works in Taipei, Taiwan. His works puts emphasis on the dialectical relationship in image and space laid out by light, revealing the logical sequences in machine’s image and viewer’s perspective. Substantial vs. virtual, digital vs. analogue, misplacement vs. counterpoint, and presence vs. absence are works series Hsieh develops with light as the existential dialectic, comprising on-site production, image, materials, and other forms and mediums. His recent works are pieces using fluorescent paints to simulate colors and technological objects to experiment on the most fundamental criteria for the notion of image, with which the artist endeavors to retrace the onset of visual as well as the possibility of shattering the reality. 

Hsieh’s works and exhibitions have been recognized by TDCC Contemporary Arts Award, NEXT ART TAINAN, National Art Exhibition, and SANCF Award, as well as ELIA’s NEU NOW and the seasonal nomination for the Taishin Arts Award. His outdoor light installations were seen at Yuejin Lantern Festival, Kuan-Du Light Art Festival, Wonderland at C-Lab, and Treasure Hill Light Festival.
