Hsieh Yu-Cheng's "Umpire's Chair" explores the relationship between humans and objects beyond their functional aspects in daily life. By examining the connection between culture and objects, the artist imagines their position as a human being in a societal context. In this artwork, Hsieh Yu-Cheng replicates a umpire's chair and destabilizes its power perspective, creating a dangerous quality. The intention is to challenge the boundaries and explore alternative ways of responding to reality.
