YIRI ARTS is pleased to present "Big Shot Bookstore," a solo exhibition by Wu Chieh-Fan. Through the mediums of graffiti, drawings, and art books, the artist offers reflections on the struggles and absurdities of existence, delving into the complexities of human nature and life.
Central to the exhibition are the thirteen badges of human nature, which offer a framework for understanding the complexities of human behavior. The badges include moral sensibility, compassion, empowerment, empathy, sense of purpose, generosity, resilience, courage, future orientation, leadership, service, selflessness, and positive influence.
The exhibition also features precious art books that can be regarded as the treasures of the seven deadly sins of humanity. Using original edition books as a medium, Wu Chieh-Fan deconstructs, transforms, and recreates them through painting, collage, tearing, and perforation, using the original content of the books as a basis for understanding and examining. Ranging from 250 to 700 pages, the art books offer a new aesthetic of pop, surrealism, and postmodernism.
In "Big Shot Bookstore," the artist delves deep into the darker aspects of human nature and life, offering a unique perspective on existence.
