My life as a Dog, the first exhibition to launch at Back_Y, borrowed its title from a movie in the 1985. This group exhibition features a number of sculptures by twelve artists, focusing particularly on the complex inner state of a child facing reality as they experience growth, as well as convey the contradictory aspect of the child's longing for the arrival of adults, but the adult longs to return to childhood.
The title of the movie "My Life as a Dog" comes from an English proverb, which describes a dog's life as one of sadness and submission, symbolizing the days of helplessness, misery, and powerlessness. Perhaps the heart of a child symbolizes what people look like prior to accepting reality. However, after experiencing the baptism of growth, people can face the helplessness of life and coexist with the dark side of life.
