The vintage toys and old objects that Shih Yung-Chun has loved to collect have often become the protagonists in his paintings. The surreal scenes depict stories sparked by an encounter with unrelated things and events.
Shih Yung-Chun creates various "props" with ready-made toys, ceramic works, fabrics, furniture and characters to participate in. He underwent the process of collecting vintage pieces, staging the scenes, and documenting them with photography and paintings. Finally, combining and presenting them in an exhibition as an installation.
