Jhan Jhuang-Syuan: Rains Retreat

"I exist in the moment the artwork is completed." — Jhan Jhuang-Syuan

"I love wandering alone, letting my mind drift. I find peace in nature—mountains, seas, forests—and in the arts—films, theater, literature, music. These experiences open up my senses. I'm just an ordinary person, but I think deeply about the meaning of existence and transform my reflections into inner landscapes, which I share through my paintings.

My art captures these inner landscapes, using brushstrokes to express emotions, textures to leave traces of creation, and symbols to evoke memories. Each completed piece becomes a slice of my life. I hope viewers can step into the memories I've created, feeling the blend of memory and reality, finding resonance and interaction, and recalling their own fragments of experience through my work."
