〈Five Hundred Lemon Trees—Let’s Jam〉

When bottling the lemon liqueur, I grabbed some of the fragrant lemon peels from the bottom of the vat, put them in my mouth, and chewed while imagining the future they held.

"Ah! Let’s make a jam that gets you drunk!" I said to myself after swallowing the lemon peel. "But I don't know how to make jam!" I quickly added, turning to my girlfriend.

The jam proposal is a sub-project of the Five Hundred Lemon Trees plan. Through a simple proposal, it aims to use the existing resources (expertise) of partners to support the Five Hundred Lemon Trees initiative, developing related by-products beyond lemon liqueur—from food to factory infrastructure, both software and hardware. The first jam proposal hopes to, during the one-month exhibition period, use the culinary and design teams of YIRI ARTS to make sweet or savory lemon liqueur jam with a hint of alcohol from the leftover lemon peels after distillation—a jam that can be paired with wine, dishes, or bread!
