Hanna Ilczyszyn Polish, b. 1984

Hanna Ilczyszyn was born in Wroclaw, Poland in 1984 and is currently living and working in Brussels, Belgium. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Poland in 2008. The painterly language of Hanna Ilczyszyn is dreamy and mysterious. Entering the world of absurdity in her works, the viewers will find themselves among a group of strange faceless characters, wandering in a tranquil wilderness. Whether it is the child wearing an animal mask or the blurred outline behind the paint stack, it creates an eerie and ambiguous quality to her work.
